WebJul 4, 2013 · Ive changed mines twice now. This past oil change the cvt fluid still looks clean, so I just replaced the filter. Last oil change I changed the fluid and it looked fairly clean just some slight silt on the drain plug. No where as nasty as the first fluid change. I may not change the filter any more, but will still do the fluid. WebMay 12, 2024 · It doesn't sound like you saw the CVT fluid yourself. He likely didn't mention the 2 CVT fluid filters either. IMO, changing the CVT fluid on an HRV is money well spent. If you are towing with your HRV, I would be concerned about CVT temps. A Scangauge to monitor CVT trans temps (and other parameters) would be worthwhile also.
