WebOverdrives obviously vary, but they can also help with clarity and add gain. Running another fuzz into a muff will definitely get things gainy! One of the better ways I’ve found to get a nice grindy, bite-y tone from a muff is to run a medium gain overdrive into one and then set the gain on the muff around noon so it doesn’t get too smooth. In the first two pics, where the tone control is hooked to the grid with no grid leak, the load resistance would be the input impedance of the triode which is extremely high [if not pushed to saturation]. Telling the TSC RL = 10M would be a reasonable approximation. I swapped my LP's 498t A5 magnet for a ceramic today. The Muff loves ceramic magnet humbuckers for sure! The Muff doesn't like the Red Velvet in my Strat still.
