Once you get … Webb17 feb. 2007 · A lot of load data seems to try to read the shooter's mind; JHP data will be hotter than roundnosed jacketed bullets of the same weight, and lead bullet loads of that weight will be lower than the jacketed roundnose. They assume that the lead bullets will be used for plinking, so the load is light.

Webb31 dec. 2024 · The only official load data I've seen that references plated bullets is Western Powder's. They give two loads with the Rainier 240 grain plated flat point, one with 14.0-15.6 gr of Accurate #7 (1163-1322 fps in an 8 3/8" bbl) and the other with 16.7-18.6 gr of Accurate #9 (1220-1386 fps in an 8 3/8" bbl.)
